Don’t forget to drop
your recycled aluminum cans on Wednesday, Feb. 1st to June and
Ellis Kane’s home at 1630 W. Flower Circle North. We usually
raise about $20 a month through this effort! Let’s help keep
NENA GREEN and encourage recycling! Groundhog’s Day
Raffle & Silent Auction
Our Groundhog’s Day Picnic
in the Street Event will take place this Saturday, February
4th from 11am to 2pm on Catalina Drive between 16th Drive and
17th Ave. The street will be blocked off to automobile traffic
and there will be free hot dogs, hamburgers (veggie burgers
too) and soda’s for all who attend. Anyone wishing to bring a
side dish or dessert to share is welcomed to do so. The
Phoenix Fire Department Station 10 is scheduled to attend
(based on their availability due to calls they may receive),
our Community Action Officer, Ben Harris will be there and we
hope to see Councilman Simplot as well.
There
will be a slide, games & free face-painting for the kids!
There will be a Raffle & Silent Auction with over 25 items
donated by local businesses. Here’s a “sneak peak” at some of
